I went to a screening of Pirate Radio last night. Loosely based on the real life offshore radio station Radio Caroline. Seems like a great story, with great music, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the closest thing you’ll get to him reprising his Lester Bangs role from Almost Famous. But, in the hands of Richard Curtis, as opposed to Cameron Crowe, something was lacking.
